Breandán Long is the principal and consultant orthopaedic surgeon based at the Sports Injury Clinic. He graduated in medicine from University College Galway and did his orthopaedic training in Dublin and an arthroscopy fellowship in Birmingham, U.K.
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine.
His specialist areas of interest are sports injuries, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction of the knee and rotator cuff repair of the shoulder. Surgery is performed in Aut Even Hospital, Kilkenny and Barrington’s Hospital, Limerick both of which are JCI accredited hospitals.
